What is Holy

I recently heard a sermon at GMC on this and it blew me up.

Our bodies are like the outer court. The inner court is like our mind, our will and our emotions. But the Holy of holies is our SOUL, where the Spirit of God himself has come and now dwells!

People were allowed to worship, serve, fellowship, and do all the "churchy activities" in the outer courts. Some of them were educated and privileged enough to have their thoughts, emotions, and lives dominated by Godly traditions in the inner courts. Then, there was only one man who could actually come before the presence of God. He had to wash himself like 50 times and offer spotless sacrifices on top of all the other things he had to do. All their experiences with God were mad limited, but that's the best they could get. WE DON'T HAVE THIS LIMITATION.

How often do we still remain in the outer courts, or even in the inner courts, while the Holy of holies remains unreached? IT'S AVAILABLE. THE CONSUMING FIRE IS THERE. IT BESEECHES US TO BECOME ONE WITH HIM, NOT OUR OWN. IT'S EVERYTHING IN LIFE THAT HAS MEANING. JOY, UNSPEAKABLE JOY. NO MORE SOUL-SEARCHING, BUT SOUL-FOUND.

It helps our self-image to know that the Holy of holies is in us. You. And me.

Now watch me (him) work.

"Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16

"And so, dear brothers and sisters,  we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.  By his death,  Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.  And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,  let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:19-22
